New National Training Package Projects: Carbon, Agribusiness Management and Viticulture 17 Sep 2018
Two new national projects are now underway to review qualifications, skill sets and units of competency relating to carbon farming, agribusiness management and viticulture.
Note that carbon farming includes conservation, land management and farming activities that reduce emissions or sequester carbon dioxide in the landscape.
The projects were approved by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) after these skills were identified as a priority in the 2018-2021 Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation and Land Management IRC Skills Forecast and Proposed Schedule of Work.
Stakeholder input into the projects throughout the duration of these projects is essential. The qualifications, skill sets and units must reflect the reality of modern workplaces. So your input and help would be appreciated. Project updates and consultation opportunities can be found at the project web page.
Your feedback is welcomed at any time.
