The WA Department of Training and Workforce Development is undertaking a Labour Market Review of your region. They are seeking input into any:
Industry developments (new markets, new initiatives, trends)
Workforce development issues (skill shortages; supply and demand issues)
Education and Training issues (access issues, quality concerns)

State Government halves training fees:
Fees for the Forestry Certificate III in Harvesting and Haulage and 33 qualifications from other industry sectors have been halved.
Department of Training and Workforce Development Annual Report 2018-2019:
The report provides the Western Australian Parliament and the community with an overview of the department’s performance, as well as budget papers and other strategic documents.
New Federal Government VET Stakeholder Committee:
The Morrison Government has established its Vocational Education and Training (VET) Stakeholder committee to help drive its significant agenda of reform.

Horse and Greyhound skills:
Revised Qualifications and Units have been approved for Greyhound Health Assistance Services; Horse Breeding Skills and Retraining Horses & Greyhounds to New Environments.
New and revised units of competency supporting systems and programs to protect the quality of meat products, from contaminants, pests and food fraud have been approved.
Advanced Wine Operations:
The Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations has been reviewed to add advanced skills. The draft qualification is now available for your review and feedback, along with eight new units of competency.
New NCVER Research:
Group training organisations’ focus on providing pastoral care and ongoing support for apprentices and trainees has a positive effect on completions, according to a new report.
Healthy, intact vegetation on roadsides is incredibly valuable in conserving our native plants and animals and encouraging tourists.
Have your say on the draft units of competency and qualifications that define the skill requirements for the cultivation and production of medicinal cannabis.
