Review of the Australian Qualifications Framework 2019

ASQA Review:

A review of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has just been announced, with one focus being to improve ASQA’s regulatory approach to better support quality delivery of training.

New NCVER Report:

Online delivery of VET qualifications: current use and outcomes

Scholarships:

Students studying an agriculture-related degree or STEM degree, in their last two years of study, are eligible to apply.

Survey:

The University of Southern Queensland is researching the motivating factors that attract and retain working agriculturalists (i.e. Soil and Plant Scientists, Agronomists, Plant Pathologists, Entomologists, Research Assistants, Ag Technicians) in their job. If you are one of these, please take this 15 minutes survey.

Exporting into Asia:

Workshops to learn how to tap into agriculture, food and beverage, hospitality, food service and retail markets in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Horse care:

Whether you are an individual horse owner or represent a business that uses horses, Skills Impact invites you to complete a survey about horse care and the use of related services. This 5-minute survey will help us to develop a proposal for reviewing current and future equine skills standards and qualifications.

Updated Qualifications and Units:

The AISC has recently approved updates in Agribusiness; Carbon Farming; Irrigation; Protected Horticulture; Sports Turf Management; and Viticulture. The updates should be available in the next few weeks.

Biomass resources:

FIFWA/Forest Industries Federation videos and resources explaining how biomass could be used to energise WA and the potential benefits to the forest, environment and community are available at here.
