Federal Government Support for Businesses
The Australian Government continues to announce ‘Coronavirus information and support for businesses at business.gov.au. This page is also continuously updated. Click here.
The Government of Western Australia, Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
The department has compiled a list of contact details for specific industry areas. This list will be updated regularly as new information arises. Click here.
Department of Training and Workforce Development and TAFE
DTWD and TAFE Managing Directors have published a “COVID-19 information page” which has up to date information for both businesses, individuals and job seekers. There’s also a good “Frequently Asked Questions” section about TAFE. Click here.
Support for small businesses to retain apprentices and trainees
As part of the Australian Government’s Economic Response to the Coronavirus, eligible employers can apply for a wage subsidy of 50 per cent of the apprentice’s or trainee’s wage paid during the 9 months from 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2020.
